New Support for Promise Dreams

Promise Dreams is a national registered charity, dedicated to helping seriously and terminally ill children turn a very special wish into reality.

Promise Dreams patron Suzi Perry together with all the team is proud to announce that Team GBNF have chosen to support Promise Dreams for the next twelve months.

Promise Dreams raises much-needed funds by organising sponsored events and encouraging local businesses and the public to support us. Every donation is greatly appreciated as we try to help as many children and raise as many smiles as possible. Whether the child would like a holiday, a toy, medical treatment, house alterations, or even the chance to meet their favourite celebrity, Promise Dreams is committed to help. There is no limit to children's imagination, which is exactly why we have no restrictions on the kind of dreams we will consider. Since the launch of the charity we have raised over £1,800,000 and nearly 800 poorly children throughout the country have had their special wishes come true. This is a testament to the enthusiasm and support of our corporate sponsors, Promise Friends, fundraisers, families and staff for our cause.

There is something very special about making a poorly child smile and knowing that you have made a difference to that family.

Bethany is a beautiful 17 month old little girl who is adored by her parents & elder sister. Sadly Bethany has Gastroschisis which has caused severe liver disease and intestinal failure. She is currently on the waiting list for a liver and small bowel transplant, without which she simply will not survive.

Bethany’s parents would love to take her on a holiday to spend some time away from the hospital while they still can. They know they cannot go anywhere that is further than an hour from Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital in case they get that all important call but are keen to get away.

Recently Bethany’s parents were married within the hospital, as they have spent so much time there & this would not only be a wonderful experience for Bethany and her sister but a treasured honeymoon for mum and dad too.

Words cannot express the difference your kindness you could make to this very special family.

You can support us by getting involved with team GBNF or perhaps organise your own event, however small the donation, It really does make a difference.

A message from our supporter Moto GP Presenter Suzi Perry.......

"I’m absolutely delighted to be a patron of this incredible charity. The most amazing feeling in this world is to experience a dream when it turns to reality, Promise Dreams deliver, and it’s wonderful to be on board. It is therefore brilliant that Team-GBNF have taken us on as one of their chosen charities for 2009 because, as you can imagine with a small charity, every penny counts. Believe me, when you see the smile on a child that has just seen their dream come true, it is one of the best feelings and for many of these kids, it could be their last dream.

Thank you Kevin and Mike for everything you do, not only for Promise Dreams but so many more charities. You're stars....

Suzi xx"
